desappointed

It looked great, I am using the ipod version and it is great
But with the laptop version I can DO NOTHING, there is no connection to my contact book, I can not find any explanation anywhere
I have desinstalled it and reinstalled it to see if I could start over but no luck, I am feeling really frustrated, all I get is the logo on the menu bar and the pleasure to have to rewrite my whole address book. At the very least an explanation somewhere would be really nice
